Tell Your Friends About The 2018 Fair!

The 2018 Poster Contest 1st prize was won by Carys Garvey (15) of Ventura for her beautiful depiction this year’s theme “A Country Fair with Ocean Air!

“A Country Fair with Ocean Air”

Whether you visit for a day or two, or purchas a WOW Pass and come for all twelve days you’ll have to agree, there is something for everyone at the Fair! From carnival rides and corn dogs, to farm animals and exhibits to entertainment and good old family fun, The Ventura County Fair, “A Country Fair with Ocean Air,” has  something exciting for everyone!

Like every year, there are so many great things to do at the Fair you won’t know where to start! You can enter a contest, visit the farm animals, watch a free concert, go on the rides, eat lots of yummy food or do one of the hundreds of other down home fair activities. You can spin, flip or fly on the great rides in the carnival midway. Sample the gourmet food and wine (or beer) pairings at the “Bounty of the County: People’s Choice” contest. Snack on fair favorites like mini donuts, turkey legs or funnel cake.  Wander through the inspirational gardens of the Floriculture department and check out all of the exhibits and displays throughout the fair. Enter one of the cooking contests, what could be more down home than that? Hope you enjoy the FREE concerts and rodeos  in the Grandstand Entertainment series.

Whatever you chose to do at the Fair, we hope you have the time of your life and make some indelible memories that you will share for years to come.

Grandstand Concerts
Every year the Grandstand Arena Concert series at the Fair features something for everyone: Country, Hispanic, Rock, R&B and more. We hope the 10 exciting concerts keep you and your friends moving and grooving. Ventura County Fair Grandstand Arena Concerts are FREE with paid fair admission!

Visit the farm animals in the Livestock Center
The Ventura County Fair Livestock area houses all of the 4H Grange and FFA projects. The Livestock Center adds a modern country look to the Fairgrounds and offers exhibitors the facilities they will need to present their animals in a safe, clean and welcoming environment. This is a great opportunity for you to bring your family to see the farm animals, ask the volunteers and exhibitors questions about livestock and agriculture, and the impact it has on our lives.

Amazing Exhibits!
As every year we are inspired and impressed by thousands of great exhibits that are on display in Agriculture, Amateur Art, Floriculture, Gems & Minerals, Hobbies & Collections, Home Arts, Horse Shows, Large Livestock, Photography, Professional Art, Small Livestock, Uncle Leo’s Barn and Youth Expo. It’s so much fun to see what your neighbors and friends have entered in the Fair, or enter your own creations!

The 143rd Ventura County Fair returns August 1-12.  We look forward to making lasting memories with you, your friends and your family.
The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, when the primary focus of the fair was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today- with the exception of a few years during World War II.
