Located on the beach, the Ventura County Fairgrounds is very conscious of the beauty of our natural environment. In order to promote conservation and environmental consciousness, the Ventura County Fair is a green fair.
The Fair recently purchased an environmentally friendly tram. Running on recycled cooking oil, the tram will pick you up in the farthest parts of Fairgrounds parking lot and drop you off at the front gate.
To help you save gas, the Fair has 5 convenient shuttle stops throughout Ventura County. Car pool with your friends and family to a shuttle location, the shuttle will take you to the Fair’s main gate. You’ll save money, time, and the environment, too!
When you come to the Fair, look for the posters sponsored by Harrison Industries and the Healthy Gourmet for tips on recycling. If everyone does their part, Ventura County will always be clean and green.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources building houses many beautiful exhibits that will make you appreciate the nature around you. You can talk to park rangers, see some of the best produce the county has to offer, and learn about the wildlife that lives in your own backyard.
