The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, where the primary focus was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today- with the exception of a few years during World War II. The tradition continues with the opening of the 138th Ventura County Fair, themed "Boots, Barns and Banjos". Be a part of Ventura County history and attend the 2013 fair, running July 31 through August 11 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura.
