2014 Ventura County Fair

The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, where the primary focus was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today- with the exception of a few years during World War II. The tradition continues with the 139th Ventura County Fair, themed "A Country Fair with Ocean Air". We look forward to making lasting memories with you and your family. in Ventura.

Something for Everyone!
We hope you will come to enjoy the 2014 Fair, "A Country Fair with Ocean Air, whether you visit for a day or two or all twelve! From carnival rides to corn dogs, there's something for everyone! At the Fair there is always so much to do and see, you can watch hypnotist shows, listen to live musical performances, or participate in contests. Visit Uncle Leos barnyard, the Small Livestock Barns or our new Judge William P. Clark Large Livestock Area to see animals of all shapes and sizes!

Spin, fly or flip on the great rides in the carnival midway. Taste gourmet food and wine pairings at the Bounty of the County: Peoples Choice contest, or snack on Fair favorites like spiral fries and cotton candy. Relax in the landscaped gardens and check out all of the exhibits and displays. You can enter one of the Junior Fair Boards contests and win prizes, too! Each night ended with a FREE concert with the Grandstand Entertainment series and fireworks over the ocean.

Top Notch Grandstand Concerts
The Grandstand Entertainment series at the 2014 fair will feature something for everyone- Country, Rock, Spanish and more. All concerts were FREE with paid fair admission!

Ventura County Fair Parade and 5K & 1 Mile Run & Walk

Theres nothing like Saturday mornings in summertime. Spending time enjoying the beginning of the weekend with the family cant be beat. On Saturday, August 2, thousands of county residents who visit Downtown Ventura will enjoy the colorful fun of the Annual Ventura County Fair Parade.


Before the parade begins, spectators will enjoy watching the zany entries that competed in the annual Ventura County Fair Costume 5K & 1-Mile Run & Walk. Runners and walkers clad in A Country Fair with Ocean Air themed costumes raced down Main Street to the delight of the early morning crowds.

Check out the new Livestock Center!
The Ventura County Fair Livestock area has built a barn to house all of the 4H Grange and FFA projects. The Judge William P. Clark Livestock Center adds a country look to the Fairgrounds and offers the exhibitors the facilities they will need to present their animals in a safe, clean and welcoming environment. We hope you enjoyed your visit.

Read and Ride Program
Reading is Fun-damental!

The Ventura County Fair invites students to earn free carnival rides through our reading program, Read & Ride for local kindergarten through 8th grade students. Students are encouraged to read books to earn carnival ride passes for the 2013 Fair.
